TERRESTRIAL (TEMPEREATE, HIGHLAND)

Located in the Soltari Prefecture, Ombria is a breadbasket world of little tactical significance. Nebulans have an unnatural dread of the world, however; they have a tradition that their ancestors (nomadic conquerors called the Kresh) invaded the Soltari through Ombria. Legend has it that two godlike spirits halted the invading force and utterly destroyed it. Although the Nebulan connection to the Kresh is unfounded, they still bear an unnatural fear of the Soltari and Ombria. They believe that their ancestors unbalanced the universal Cycle of Order and were punished severely at Ombria to correct the imbalance. To date, the Nebulan border with the Soltari remains unfortified and scarcely manned only for colony policing purposes.
